[Opinions] Sylvia Plath

Yes, I was trying to think of famous Sylvias, and she was the first one to come to mind. Actually the only one.
She is a tragic figure, but I like the soulfulness that comes with the name association as well. Is that a bad thing? I don't know. I bet we all share a name with some unfortunate person or another :)
I was not sure if I preferred Silvia over Sylvia, and after writing it out, I think I like the Syl- version. There is something a touch more dramatic about it. More Victorian, while Silvia seems somehow more modern.
It definitely is an old-lady name :) I think it's in a bit of a limbo at the moment - not as hip as Alice or Charlotte yet, but also no longer considered "ugly". I bet it'll be next up for hipster revival, along with Maud and Ralph.
