Help[Facts] What does the Indian name Mira mean?
I know it's the name of a female saint who was a Rajput princess too, but what did the name itself mean at that time. Long ago, I read somewhere it is developed from urdu word Mir and even now it is correctly spelled as Meeran where n is pronounced only nasally.

Well, what is one person's Urdu is another's Hindi. The root probably came from Persian, which borrowed it from Arabic amr to command, and used it to mean princely, rich, etc.
The star name mira comes from latin and means wonderful (cognate with English smile) but that is probably not the origin of the name of the female saint.
