[Opinions] AE... No, NOT American Eagle!
I really don't care for any spellings of Aidan except for Aeden. So-
Would this be too weird of a spelling? It just seems more Celtic to me.
And would Aemie, Aemie(my fave) and Aeva be too weird?
Vote on my combos!
Aeva Renae
Aemie Rachelle
Chloe Anne
Aedan Michael
Noah Reed
Leah Nadia

No
Áedán is the Old Irish form of Aodhán. It'd be like calling your child Medb or Aífe or Ériu (which would be like Æðelþryð in English); it makes no sense and is inpronouncable in Modern Irish. (The Modern Irish forms are Medhbh, Aoife and Éire.) Please use Aodhán if you want the proper Irish spelling.

NO.
I'm sorry, please do not misspell something just because you like the way two letters look together. Please refer to the A names list for names that are meant to be spelled Ae---- if you like it so much.

Well Aedan is a proper spelling of the name, though the rest aren't
Refer to Ally's post above mine.
St. Aedan of Ferns is now commonly pronounced (and spelled) as Aidan
There are many churches and schools named after him in the United States and pronounce it this way even if when he was alive they didn't.
Edit: I don't get why people don't like anglicizing names, it's not different than Josephina being pronounced jo-sə-FEEN-ə compared to Josefina pronounced ho-se-FEE-nah. Different cultures change names to fit their language, it's part of just how names spread.

Aedan and Aeddan are the spellings I come across in my Arthurian texts. So, I consider them legitimate spellings. Aemie and Aeva do look weird to me though, sorry.
I'd spell it Aedan
It should be an a, not an e. Makes the most sense.
I think it wouldn't be good to use two Ae- names in a sibset. Too themey.
That said, Aedan Michael is a nice name. Noah Reed is alright too. I don't like any of the others.

I love Aedan~ But not Aeden.
It was the Saint my grade school was named after and I adore it~ Spelled only like Aedan though. It's funny because there were like a billion Michaels at that school. Aedan Michael has my vote. Chloe Anne too. The rest aren't really my style.

I dislike it. I don't think it looks good, and there might be pronunciation problems. I like Andromache's suggestion of Áedán.
Aemie and Aeva don't look very good, and I think they'd have a hard time getting people to pronounce their names right. Both look like they should be three syllables rather than two.
Of your combos, Noah Reed and Leah Nadia win, hands down.

Aedan/Aeden
Yeah... I thought I had had the clever idea of spelling it Aedan or Aeden... then I looked it up. Now I feel REALLY smart. ;)

For me it's too close to the feminine Greek name Aedon.

Áedán is an older form of Aidan, WDYT? Aeden seems like a strange mix of Gaelic and Anglicised Gaelic.
