[Opinions] Taryn
What do you think of this name?
I think it's the most annoying name imaginable, because it seems so manufactured and insubstantial, and trendy sounding, although I don't think it's particularly popular these days. It's still trendy sounding.

I love it! One of my closest friends is called Taryn and it suits her perfectly I think because she's completely unique as is this name.
I love it
Wow, I don't see any of those things. I love it. I'm surprised that I'm the only one that seems to not think it's horrible.
It's an old family name for me (my great(X5)-grandmother had a stillborn baby that was named Taryn, and also the name of a great character in a book I have that was wrote in the 1930's, so it feels very traditional, substantial, and literary, very classic to me. It feels extremely smart and sweet to me.
(I always feel weird answering posts about how much I love a name right after the OP bashes it to pieces, like I'm wrong to feel that way)

It's alright
I hate it
It went through a weird semi-surge in popularity in the grades directly below me at school. There would have been three in the grade directly below me and 4 in the one below that. All the Taryns were the bitchy, stuck-up, air brain types. I think it looks cheap written down and sounds insubstantial when said aloud. Not a fan...

I agree with you. Also, the sound is so very unattractive (tearin').
I was going to say I liked it, but I thought it was masculine at first :P So yeah, it is kind of annoying. If it was on a boy I would like it though.
I really don't like it. It sounds ugly and heavy, and the first time I saw it I thought it was pronounced tar-yin. I've never understood that change-i-to-y thing. I much prefer Tara, even though I don't like that name very much.
My cousin dated a Taryn when he was in high school. Sweet girl, but terrible name. It reminded me of tarantulas.
