I thought we kind of had settled on Malcolm if we had a boy, but last night DH told me that he wanted to name our son Remy, and he liked it way better than all of our other names.

This kind of threw me off, I'd never even really thought about the name or considered it. I don't even know if I like it.

What is your opinion and impression on Remy? It would be Remy Alexander Clint.
Remy or Malcolm?

LOVE Remy.

I love Remy.. I think the full name sounds wonderful.

I'd use Remy on a boy OR a girl. (I initially only heard it as a girl's name.)

I love, love, love the name Remy! It's so handsome and a lot nicer sounding than Malcolm imo, which sounds very dated and boring to me. Sorry! I like the sound of the whole combo actually, works well.

I like Remy. I prefer it to Malcolm. Malcolm is a decent name, but it's not something I would use myself. I think it's fine for someone else's child though.

Remy Alexander is a great combo.

I've never really thought about Remy either! Both names are a little nms, but I think Remy Alexander Clint has a better flow than Malcolm Alexander Clint.

Honestly, I think Remy sounds better on a girl. For a boy, it's a little too cutesy.

Remy!
I adore Remy (prefer Rémy) and I love it as a nickname for Remington. I don't like Malcolm at all. I think Remy Alexander Clint is a lovely combo but what happened to Wynn?

Thanks for your opinion! I guess I'll have to let it stir around in my mind for awhile.

Wynn is still in the race, but for some weird reason, my most favorite name ever, just doesn't feel right for this baby. *shrug*

I'd pick Malcolm. It's stronger and doesn't make me think of Gambit from X-Men, so I associate it with cajun swindlers. Plus I'd go with names that you've liked for longer and not a name that pops up all of a sudden.

Haha! I didn't think anyone would think that, but that is EXACTLY why my dh likes it! He loves Gambit (*eyeroll*) He's also Cajun so he says that it honors his roots better.

(I said, well you're also Scottish, and Malcolm is Scottish...)

Neither of them are really my style but if I had to pick I would say Remy. Malcolm says paunchy-middle-aged man to me, whereas Remy says quiet French boy, which is rather better.
Anyway that's just my opinion so please don't be offended. My opinion is probably influenced because I know two Malcolms and they both fit the 'Malcolm description' I just gave. So, yeah, anyway...

Love Remy. It's very handsome. I actually prefer it to Malcom, though Malcom is very nice too. My combos are Remy Christopher, Remy Eric Blair, and Remy Orwell (the last two after the author lol). I think Remy Alexander Clint would be very handsome.
