Michael was transformed into a vampire in the year 1892. His older brother had transformed before him and gone mad in his rampage he bit both Michael and his younger sister. They separated after they figured out how to survive. Years later Micheal met Dani at a charity dance later to find out that they live next to each other(they live in a neighbor hood where neighbors live about 2 acres away.) She doesn't understand how he avoids his thirst for her but in his mind he loves her and nothing is worth losing her which is what he's afraid will happen if he bites her.

Dani realized she was pregnant about a month into pregnancy she first told Michael and when she told him he spent her entire pregnancy trying to find information on how to safely deliver the child. They didn't realize that the child was a vampire until 5 months into the pregnancy when she went into labor. At that point Michael ran her to another vampire named Ivan who's wife had her first vampire child over 300 years ago. They were able to safely deliver Regan with minimal harm to Dani. She recovered within a week and is now well. Regan is a challenge for both Dani and Michael but he has also brought them closer, both of his parents adore him and would give up their life for him. On his good days he plays games and learns from his mother but he does have his bad days in which Michael must take him away for awhile until he has eaten and calmed. Michael is determined to keep Dani human and extremely upset that Regan is a vampire but Dani wants to become a vampire when she feels a little more ready but not yet. As for Regan he's very smart and is aware of how fragile his mother is. He does his best to be gentle with her but sometimes wishes that she is like him and daddy so that he wouldn't have to worry about accidentally hurting her.
