After getting married Gabby realized she was pregnant. She was very scared to tell her family, for they would not approve of her having a human's baby. She waited for a long time to tell Antonio. He was excited.
"We're having a baby!" He said and kissed her. She pulled away.
"My family is not going to approve..." she sighed. He nodded in agreement, but she stopped him. "They'll want to eat you!" She began to sob. He held her tight.
"Gabby," He said looking into her eyes, "We've been married now for 3 months, if we're not going to tell them now, then when?"
Gabby sighed, knowing he was right. She didn't know what to do, she couldn't just bring him home and say "Guys his is my human husband, we're having a baby!" that would just not do.
"Gabby, I love you! Either we tell your family or....." Gabby looks up at him and knows what he is going to say.
"That could work, running away together could work." She said. Tony nodded.
"Meet me tommorow night?" He asked. She kissed him yes, and flew away.
The next night they ran away together. They drove for hours on end. Eventually they reached a small town. It was a very quiet and dark town. Shadows were everywhere. Soon Antonio got a job. At that point they were living in their car, and they knew they couldn't hide their car for long nor could they buy a house, they were broke. One night while out hiking Gabby found a narrow rocky passage. She flew threw it and found that it let to a large cave, with many tunnels leading to smaller rooms. The next night she brought Tony there, and told him it would be there new home.
Nate was born in the cave. Gabby knew that it would be dangerous to give birth to him in a hospital, because they might be able to tell that he had abnormal blood. She also hoped to raise him to be a vegeterian. Once he was born it was obvious he wasn't going to sleep through the day, so Gabby takes care of him in one of the small tunnels. They call it "his" room.
Nate has put a strain on Gabby & Tony's marriage because Gabby is the only one that can take care of him during the day (b/c Tony is at work) and Tony sleeps at night. Lately it has gotten better because Gabby will take him out into the forest with her.
