Jayna is kind of cute but looks made up to me. I used to like Jana (JAN-nah) but it seems a bit dated and even contrived now to me for some reason. Janea looks like JAY-nee-ah or jah-NEE-ah/jah-NAY-ah to me, not JAY-nah. Jaina is the only other way I could think to spell it (but then some might assume it was JYE-nah? :b).

Jayna is BEAUTIFUL! If it wasn't my little sister's name, I would use it for something. Janea looks more like it should be pronounced JAN-ee-UH, But Jayna is Jayna. :)

Jayna is pretty. I have never senn Janea so I can't say how it would be prn, maybe JAN-ee-ah. There is the spelling Janna prn JAH-nah-Arabic name meaning "a harvest of fruit" or "garden of Eden". Also seen the spelling Jana. I've also heard of the name Janaye.

With Janea I say Jan-ay-uh.

I really like Jayna, it has a cool sound! I'm not much a fan of Janea mostly because I don't know how I would pronounce it! :)

Jan-ee-ah or something like that. I'd spell it Jayna because it's easy to pronounce! :)

If it's Jane-uh you want then I think the spelling Jayna best promotes that.
I'm afraid Janea would be pronounced Jane-ee-uh, Jana is JAN-uhm and Janae is obviously Jen-AY.

I have seen it spelled Jaena, but I don't think it looks any better, plus the "y" is less confusing to many, or that would be my guess.

Janea would be juh-NAY-ah. Pronuncing it JAY-nah would make absolutely no sense. It'd be like pronuncing Danea DAY-nah. Where's the logic in that?

I don't like the Y in there at all. It looks very "down market."

The problem with taking out the Y is that you are left with Jana, which I would pronounce as, "JAN-uh." Hmmm. I'd have to think of a solution and get back to you.

I would pronounce Janea as, "ja-NEE-uh" or "ja-NAY-uh," if I saw an accent mark over the "e."
