Everyone is doing fine... and Panda is a complete wonderment to everybody. She is more powerful then anybody in either her grandmother's or grandfather's family.
It turns out that Milo is the eldest son of a very secret group of Magicians. He sought out his soul mate when Esme put out a "call" when she was ready. Milo's family haven't disinherited him, yet... but they do not want any contact with him for the time being. Milo's family still don't quite know what to think of Milo marrying an outsider that is also magical (they can, traditionally, only marry non-magical outsiders that have no close family), and are debating on how to handle the situation...
Everyone else is still doing well, with no real changes to report...
