Kenny and Clara grew up in the same area of California, a small town near San Francisco. Kenny's father is the police chief of their town, and Kenny has followed his footsteps by enlisting in the San Francisco Police Department. Clara has worked as a nanny for a wealthy family in the city for the past four and a half years. She plans to continue doing so until she and Kenny have children.
