It seems like Sep and Esme can't please anybody these days. Their friends (and even more so, the acquaintances) think that they are nuts to be married and having children so young. However, while both families are fine with the marriage and children, they are in an uproar over the names. Sep's family thinks that using Giselle as a name could prove to be a bad omen, and are only slightly OK with Sarai. Esme's family love Giselle, but think that Sarai is a hideous name.
However, none of this bothers Sep and Esme. Giselle was born with hair as red as her mother's and eyes as green as her fathers (the nurses couldn't believe it when she was born with eyes that weren't slate gray!). They are quite happy in their little 2 bedroom cottage out near the lake, and that is all that matters.
