[Opinions] Re: Bud
I had a cousin nick-named Bud; his actual first name was Campbell,(his Mother's maiden name.)
Also have an uncle named Edgar, nicknamed T.T.

I had a great-uncle named Edgar! He didn't have a nickname, though.I have such a soft spot for Bud, only as a nickname, of course. This enthusiasm is not shared by many here, I fear.

off topic, slightly+In my French-speaking area, a usual nick-name is 'Ti-Something, short for Petit. 'Ti-Guy, 'Ti-Jacques,''Ti-Marc. These persist for life. Sometims it's small stature, sometimes a younger child in a family, sometimes, a child who has the same name as a father or uncle.
Just guys, though. No 'Ti-Chantalle.
