August and Opal have had another daughter, Eleanor Louise. They do not want anymore children after her. They are doing fairly well in the depression.

Malcolm has gotten married and has had 3 sons. Unfortunately, when the depression hit, Malcolm lost his job. It has been hard for them to scrape by, but they have managed to scrape by.

Percival has gotten married. He and his wife are doing well.

Jessica has gotten married and had three children. She is ecstatic and loves her children with all her heart. She would love to have a huge family.

Genevieve was happy to marry and have a daughter. Shortly before little Penelope's birth, however, her husband died in a car wreck. she is now living with her parents.

The rest of the family has been barely scraping by in the depression. Henry wishes he was still a farmer.
