I was out having a coffee with my sister-in-law today and she ran into a old friend that just had a baby, we asked what the baby's name was she said "Ay-la" we commented on how nice is sounded etc and asked how she spelt it and she said Aaliyah??? What the??? I thought that Aaliyah was how is looks "Aa-lee-ya" now I am totally confused and concerned for this poor little girl growing up with a mis-pronounced name? Or am I wrong?
