[Opinions] Translations into Irish
Replies
Alastriona -- It took me a while to get used to it, but now I find it lovely.
Anlon -- ??? Reminds me of a Star Wars character.
Ailis -- Gorgeous. Alice was my grandmother's name and i flirted with the possibility of using Ailis one day.
Caoimheall -- If I'm getting the pronunciation correct, "KEE-vul," I don't see the appeal.
Aisling -- Gorgeous. It's a pity the Ashley overdose we all suffered makes this seem less fresh than it is. It still makes a great mn, though.
Diolun -- ??? Dylan?
Colm -- I have a distant relative in Ireland named Colm. They pronounce it just like the word "column," with a short "o" sound. I prefer Malcolm or Columba.
Madoc -- Reminds me too much of "mad dog."
Thanks for the new (for me) names. :-)
