[Facts] Re: Vendetta
I personally have never run across an example of a Vendetta, but since I have run across real examples of girls named Jealousy and Tyranny, it wouldn't surprise me. Some parents fall in love with the sound of words which are similar to those of other names and don't consider the meaning. Vendetta sounds enough like Violetta, Venetia, Odetta, etc., that some parent may have thought it was a very "feminine" name for a girl.

Thanks Cleve, In India too, men used to have names which weren't favorable in their meanings. Now a days what we see is people try to name their children that "sound" good no matter what does it mean or whether the word exists or not. I find this thing offensive, people should at least consult a dictionary before naming their children.
