[Opinions] Eli for a girl?
Pronounced like the boy name.My neighbor wants name her daughter this I like it and don't know why. WDYT?

I agree, not as a full name.
I think it's horrible for a girl as a full name, but OK as nn.
Maybe they could get away with it as a nn for Elinor or something, but it looks ignorant and silly as a full name for a girl.
I know a rabbi by this name, so I associate it with a tall guy with a black beard. Definitely not feminine.

I really don't like it for a girl. Eli is not a bendable name to me.
Its a boy name, maybe suggest Ellie instead.
