Sarah is so pretty yet so simple. I like it...I think it's nice. There's a reason it's been used so long.

I prefer Zara.

It's way too common, but it has a nice sound. I think of the color red for some reason.

I like Sarah, a beautiful name. Not really common where I live; I know 2, one who is really named Sarai.
Colour? Blue, of course! :) Light blue.

It's so dull and boring!I much prefer, Seraphina.

I echo everyone else who said it is boring, but additionally, of the many I've known, very few Sarahs haven't annoyed the snot out of me. It makes me think of whiney girls, or women who always have to have their own ways.

I happen to love Sarah. It is rather common, but that doesn't really phase me as long as the name isn't trendy-popular, but classic-popular. I don't really associate named with colours, but I do see a Sarah as a compassionate, intelligent, quiet girl. My combo for a future daughter is Sarah Agnes.

I am named Sarah and it is very common but classic.

It's a beautiful name, but oh so common! The nickname "Sari" is very cute though, and generally unheard of.

boooriiiiingOk, it's a gorgeous name to start with, but yes, it is too common. I guess it's common because it is gorgeous, but it's a good example of how great names can be spoiled by overuse.
The colors it suggests to me are yellow-gold and brown. I always picture Sarah as a brunette (though obviously I met Sarah's of every shade and hue).

So "boooriiiiiiing" is an appropriate comment but "weird" and "pretentious" are mean?

uh?Who's saying weird and pretentious are mean comments? As far as I'm concerned, they're perfectly acceptable and I'd never seen anyone else consider them mean.
I didn't even say I found Sarah ugly, that it was actually a nice name made boring by overuse. I just happen to like names that are neither too out-there nor the name of every other person. Btw, I know on my skin what it's like to have a super-popular name, and I didn't enjoy the experience, so it's not out of snobbishness I dislike very common names.Do you ever make posts for purposes other than criticizing other people here?

It's funny how technically it's really common, and I've only ever known two. And one *always* went by Sally. I think it's really pretty and ages well. I don't see names in colours :S
