Melissa Jane is a 16 year old pregnant teenager from Tennessee. She is 6 months pregnant and is expecting a baby boy. Her mother suffers from mental illness and her father is unknown. She is a girly-girl and very outgoing. She likes to play the piano and viola.
Angela Michelle is a 12 year old girl from British Columbia. She suffered from abuse and is shy, quiet, and very withdrawn. She likes reading and writing.
Mei Natsuko is a 10 year old girl from Japan. She understands some English and would like to learn more. She lived with her Great-Aunt, who became too old and disabled to care for her. She is very outdoorsy and likes to play sports. she would like to stay in contact with her Great-Aunt if possible.

It has been six months since we welcomed these girls.
Melissa now has a 4 month old son (she gave birth a month early. The baby was a bit small and had to stay in the hospital a few extra days, but otherwise is quite healthy). His name is Makai Kameron Sage and Melissa absolutely adores him.
Angela [whose legal name is now Angeline Marcelle] has gotten a bit more talkative, since she's around people close in age to her. She and Patton get along well.
Mei is quickly learning English, and gets extra help with it from Suki, who thankfully is close in age to her, and Kaori. In the summer, when we visit Japan, we will visit her Great-Aunt [as well as Suki's grandmother].
