[Opinions] Rhianna?
What do you think of Rhianna?
Is it a good name or a bad name?
If you heard/met a child named Rhianna would you automatically say "oh, like the singer (Rihanna)?"
Is this good or bad to you (especailly since everything that has been said about her on the news, and everything about her relationship problems)?

Agree w/Autumn-Queen, Rhiannon is much better
Rhianna is definitely the same as Rihanna to me, and I'd always associate the two. It sounds trendy and a bit like celeb worship. It's not a "bad" name (I save "bad" for names like Adolf), but it's not a "good" one either. It lacks class and won't age well. Besides Rihanna being abused by Chris Brown, I'd still say it's a no-go.

I thought it wouldnt work. Which sucks because i really did used to like that name but that woman ruined it for me. grrrr!!!! I do like Rhiannon too though, so i guess thats a good alternative for my faves list. then i could just use Rhianna or Rhia as nn's.
WDYTO Rhiannon Selene (seh-leen)?

Go with my own mn, Rhiannon, a classy, strong, welsh name
I like it and it was starting to grow on me before Rihanna became popular. Unfortunately, I think a lot of people will associate the name with her, at least at the moment because she has been in the news so much and is also very popular as a singer at the moment. If I heard of a baby Rhianna, I might think she'd been named after the singer, it would depend on the parents. Over all it's a good name. Rhiannon is on my PNL but I actually think I prefer Rhianna. I don't know any but there is a cute little girl on Child Of Our Time (UK tv show) called Rhianna. She'd be aged about eight by now.
yea i loved this name before the singer became known & i really loved that it wasnt a popular name (at least where im from) and then the singer came out and i thought - dang it! now everyone is gonna start naming their daughters this because of her.
I dont like the way she spells her's at least, i like the english way. Rihanna is supposedly arabic meaning "sweet basil", and im sure that any Rihanna lovers would spell it this way for their daughters too. my problem is i just dont know if i would want to use this now because people would think that i am naming a daughter after the singer or to be trendy. so far i havent come across any Rihanna's since she's become known so maybe im worrying over nothing & probably by the time i have any kids it wont even be an issue. I like Rhiannon too but its just kinda long and most people around here wont know how to say it lol :)

It reminds me first of a different form of Rhiannon (much like the song with the same name). The second thing I think of is the R&B singer, but not her current relationship problems. (I haven't really been keeping up with that)
I prefer Rhiannon :)
One more ?: does it make you think of it as a trendy name or is it a nice name you wouldnt mind seeing on a child?
