I love that name...it's one of my favorites that will be considered one day. I always think of some 20-something woman with dark hair and is very talented, like she can really sing and dance. Just because of a movie I watched where a woman had that name and that's where I got it from.
It's one of those classy names that can easily have nns, such as Addie or Ladie (i don't like the latter)

Adelaide is beautiful, classy and romantic

I actually live in the city of Adelaide so I wouldn't call my child by this name but I think it's a beautiful name. Our city is named after Queen Adelaide. You might get called Adele or deli.
A quiet older lady with a nice smile.
I love it. I see a creative girl/woman and for some reason I see her with long auburn hair.

Adelaide is a very pretty name. I picture a girl who has an old, soft, gentle spirit. I see her with brown hair and honey or hazel eyes.
My cousin is Adelaide Antoinette. She's always gone by Addie. I think my aunt could have done a better job with the mn (first child over-enthusiasm?), but Adelaide is very appealing.
I think I prefer the "less-is-more" quality of Adele, but Adelaide has an unmistakable nostalgic charm to it.
Anyone who's parents had the good taste to name a child Adelaide must raise an equally tasteful child. Seriously, I find it hard to imagine a personality based solely on a name.
