I love that name...it's one of my favorites that will be considered one day. I always think of some 20-something woman with dark hair and is very talented, like she can really sing and dance. Just because of a movie I watched where a woman had that name and that's where I got it from.

It's one of those classy names that can easily have nns, such as Addie or Ladie (i don't like the latter)

Adelaide is beautiful, classy and romantic

It's not a name in my top ten list, but it's gorgeous and lovely all the same. Rachel Griffiths named her recently born daughter Adelaide Rose.My impressions of a person with this name is someone who is charming, intelligent, elegant and proper.

I actually live in the city of Adelaide so I wouldn't call my child by this name but I think it's a beautiful name. Our city is named after Queen Adelaide. You might get called Adele or deli.

I love it. I see a creative girl/woman and for some reason I see her with long auburn hair.

Adelaide is a very pretty name. I picture a girl who has an old, soft, gentle spirit. I see her with brown hair and honey or hazel eyes.

My cousin is Adelaide Antoinette. She's always gone by Addie. I think my aunt could have done a better job with the mn (first child over-enthusiasm?), but Adelaide is very appealing.I think I prefer the "less-is-more" quality of Adele, but Adelaide has an unmistakable nostalgic charm to it. Anyone who's parents had the good taste to name a child Adelaide must raise an equally tasteful child. Seriously, I find it hard to imagine a personality based solely on a name.
