Help[Opinions] Nikita, Avalyn or Marlie?
I was wondering what everyone thought?
I might be having a girl, and I wanted to know which name sounds best?
-Nikita May
-Avalyn Kinsey
-Marlie Zoe
Thank you! I appreciate your thoughts. I'm split between the names, and if you have any other unique/pretty names to offer up, then offer right away- lol!
And if its a boy, it will be either:
-Easton
-Regent
-Asher
I thought Asher would be cute because my names Ashlie. lol. Ashlie and her baby- Asher. No?

I like Asher and Zoe. I only like Nikita for boys. The rest of the names are not my style, sorry.

Nikita May: have you ever seen the movie "La Femme Nikita"? The name reminds me of that movie.
Avalyn Kinsey: I don't care for invented names, but Avalyn isn't so bad. I kind of like Kinsey, too.
Marlie Zoe: I think there is too much of the "ee" sound in this combo. I'm not really digging it. But it's refreshing to see Marlie.
Easton: eh, I'm not really into it. It sounds kind of...snooty.
Regent: see Easton.
Asher: there's nothing WRONG with this name, but it's never been one of my favorites. It's just kind of there.

LOL! I told my mom about the name 'Easton' and she had the same impression as you. She went 'Easton? Easton from Princeton' and I just walked away, lol!
I dont know why but I like the really snobby sounding names, even though I came from a less than highclass family, lol. Thank you so much for your replies, though! I really do appreciate it!

I would love Marla Zoe, with Marlie as the nickname. Marlena ("mar-LAY-nah") would also be a pretty formal first name. This might be something to think about for when she is applying for jobs, etc.
Nikita reminds me of Nikita Krushchev, so I think it's a male name in Russia. How about Nikoleta, Nicoletta or Colette? or just Nika?
Avalyn is fine, but I'd prefer Evelyn, Evelina or Ava.
Kinsey reminds me of the Kinsey sex research institute.
For boys' names, I really like Asher, but it is so close to your first name-- it might get confusing (esp. mail, phone calls). What about Easton Asher?

Whenever i heard the name 'Nikita' I always thought of the eldest girl from The Sound of Music...was Nikita her name or am I thinking of something completely off!? Lol! I really like it for a girl rather than a boy and I have no idea why that is, but I never knew it was masculine! I definitely should have looked it up beforehand, but now I know!
LOL! Is there really a place called the Kinsey sex research institute!? Well, all the more reason to name your child that, huh!? Lol! "Mama, what is my middle name from...?" and well, what an awkward situation that one would be, lol! Thank you for warning me about this before I went and named my child that- perhaps I should change it to Kensey or Kenzey?
I'm not too fond of Marla, but I know a lot of Marlas and they're such wonderful people! I just would never want to name my kid that, I guess. I dont know why. Its a pretty name though!

Hmmm... I think the eldest girl in Sound of Music was Louisa, but there was a Brigitta!
I hear Kinsey mentioned as a possible name now and again... but it always makes me think of Alfred Kinsey and his sex research that came out in the 1950s! There was a movie put out about it a few years ago, too (just called Kinsey).

I love the Avalyn combo for the girl and as for the boys name I prefer Easton, however I do like the Ashlie-Asher thing. It's cute.

I LOVE the name Marley. I know a girl with it and it's like the best name ever haha so I'd go with that.

Me too! I also love the musician Bob Marley, but my friend whose father's name is Marley got all mad at me and said to feminize it- I know, I just made up the terminology, but oh well, lol!

Thank you! I never knew that Nikita was a boys name! I always thought it was what the eldest girl in the sound of music was named- the eldest girl of the captain's!

I don't like Nikita because it's a Russian male nn for the male Nikolai and it was also the name of the old fat Nikita Khruschev.
Avalyn is pretty but I'd be going for Avalon, which is from Arthurian legend and adds a cool note of mystery to Ava! Avalon Zoe would be my combo, mixing around the names you've chosen.
Kinsey reminds me of the Kinsey Report.
I love Asher - really cool choice.

Oh my goodness, I really like the name Avalon! Thank you for suggesting that! Its really cute, and its not that common, either! Or, how about Apollonia? I heard somebody mentioning it on the message boards and my jaw literally fell open and I was like 'YES! THAT NAME IS AMAZING!' lol!
