[Opinions] Gawain
I usually hear it pronounced gah-WAYN, but a lot of my professors pronounce it GAH-win. I just wondered how everyone else pronounces it.
ETA: GAH-win seems to make more sense, considering Gavin is a derivation. I'm still having a hard time retraining myself to say it that way.

I'm not a native speaker, so I don't know the correct pronounciation, but I love the name if pronounced gah-WAYN. The other pronounciation might be correct, but like you, I think I would really have to become familiar with this one first...
gah-WAYN for me. Though I think it is common for it to be pronounced GAH-wayn.
I pronounce it gah-WAYN.
Gawain that's ridiculous!
