Location: Seattle, WA
Cecil and Annie met during the Klondike Gold Rush. Cecil was 22 and passed through Seattle on his way from Idaho to find gold. He stayed in the small motel Annie's father owned for a short time. The two struck up a friendship and kept it up through correspondance after he left. When he came back through Seattle a couple years later, he decided to settle down in the city rather than continuing home. Annie was glad to see him stay and the two were married and had a daughter, Norah, shortly afterward.
