Have you ever read / seen "Cousin Bette?" It's a deliciously catty / gossipy novel by Balzac. The main character, Bette, is not very nice. But the whole atmosphere of the book and Parisian society made me warm to the name.

I've hated Elizabeth long enough. Now I like it, but only if you don't use a nn.

Love Elizabeth....nicknames I can think of are Ellie, Elle, Beth, Bethie, Liza, Lizabeth, Bess, Betty, Eliza, Lizbeth, Liz, Lizzie, Bette, Ella

I like Ellie, Elle, Beth, Lily, Libby, and Eliza as NN's for Elizabeth.

I prefer no nickname..

I think Elizabeth Rose is beautiful. Rose Elizabeth is pretty too. I think Elizabeth nn Ella is pretty. Bessie and Betsy are also pretty.

Buffy is an awesome NN for Elizabeth! I also like Liz, Beth, Eliza, and Lisette.

I really don't like Buffy. Besides the who Buffy the Vampire Slayer connection, I feel the name just has ditzi airhead written all over it. My favorite NNs for Elizabeth (that you haven't listed) are Libby and Beth.

I love a lot of nicknames for Elizabeth (and Elisabeth).

I love Elizabeth, but I don't like Liz at all. I don't mind Lizzy now after reading/watching Pride and Prejudice enough times, and Eliza is sort of growing on me (but not really.) I like Beth, or but you could always jut call her Elizabeth like my friend is just called.
