[Opinions] Tamar
Very into it right now. Constructive critisism of these combos?Tamar Adina (too many "A"s?)
Tamar Lilith
Tamar Lenka
Tamar Viola
Minerva Tamar*sigh* I don't know if I'm very happy with any of them. I might need to sit with them a while. Tamar is a hard one to fit. Anyone want to give it a shot? I'm very interested in the "ee" sound Viola makes. Think I'd prefer it as the middle or second to last syllable, though.Haha, I'm not explicit at all... :b

I usually prefer Tamara, but Elizabeth Tamar is pretty. Can always go by the mn if you want to if that's how the combo fits best.

I like Tamar. It's much better than Tamara. From your combos I like
Minerva Tamar
Tamar Lillith
Tamar ViolaI know what you mean about it being a hard name to get combos for. A recent one of mine that is the same is Prue. For some reason, nothing seems to fit with it.Some more combos for Tamar
Tamar Juliet
Tamar Rosen

Tamar is spunky without being too over the top. I remember hearing it while watching a film about Doris Day (her daughter is named Tamar) when I was about 14. I had seen the name written out prior to seeing the film, but it wasn't until I heard it spoken out loud in the film that I gave it much thought.Out of your combos, I like Tamar Adina and Tamar Lilith the best. Tamar Viola sounds fine, but I prefer Adina and Lilith. I'm not a fan of the name Minerva because of the "nerv" part (it makes me think of the word "nerve"). Minerva Tamar does flow nicely though. Tamar Lenka is okay, but the combo is a bit choppy.Other ideas:
Tamar Penelope
Tamar Gwendolyn / Gwendolen
Tamar Veronica / Veronika
Tamar Helena
Tamar Sybella
Tamar Evelyn
Tamar Eveline - I think this would sound especially pretty if you pronounce the ending -leen)
Tamar Evelina
Tamar Augusta
Tamar Cecily
Tamar Odessa
Tamar Cynthia

I love Tamar. It's exotic, elegant, but not fussy. Very alluring. But I can't stand Tamara, though, at least the American "TAM-uh-ruh" pronunciation. So Tamar Adina discomforts me a little. True, I odn't say exactly "TAM-uh-ruh" when I say "Tamar A-," but it's inching in that direction. I think you have better combinations.Tamar Lilith is lovely. The two names are both exotic. The flow is a little choppy. But as you say it's not easy to find a mn for Tamar so I'm willing to overlook that minor point.Tamar Lenka is interesting. I'll bet this is one of those combos that grow on you slowly until you find yourself head over heels. Tamar Viola doesn't do much for me. I prefer the British, "VIE-uh-luh" pronunciation so I don't think we're saying it the same way. If you're using the "vee-O-luh" one, then the prominent "o" sound turns me off. But it's much better than American, "vie-O-luh," I'll give you that.Minerva Tamar is stunning. Love it.My attempts (sorry for any repeats):Tamar Inez
Tamar Isabeau
Tamar Soledad
Tamar Lourdes (2 syllables)
Tamar Montserrat
Tamar Olivia
Tamar Roxane / Roxelana
Tamar Lucine
Tamar Scheherazade
