[Opinions] Seymour
I was talking to a friend today and the name Seymour came up. It's got some pretty cool literary associations (Seymour Glass' character by J.D. Salinger comes to mind) and I just like it.
WDYT?

NMS reminds me of seals or that joke
I think it's cool
It might be considered pretentious, faux-aristocratic round these parts. My first thought is definitely the Seymours, but when I'm no longer a history student I hope that my associations will become less skewed :-)

all i think of is EEEEEAT MEEEEEE! from the musical little shop of horrors. and a second on the simpsons, too, now that i notice that. to me, it just sounds like a weak name. i like simon better, which sounds similar, or seamus.
Skinner.
Can't help it.
It's always looked and felt awkward to me, but I think that when there are possitive associations, this kind of stuff can be easily put to the side.

I think of The Simpsons too.
And Butts. I can see the appeal, though.
For a second I was like "...What?" But then I got it. I don't really have that sort of mind frame with names. Some people don't and can't like Lana because it's anal backwards, and Ginevra anagrams to vinegar and so on. My brain doesn't work this way. So Seymour Butts doesn't bother me.
