[Opinions] Caoimhe?
WDYTO Caoimhe for a girl? It's pronounce KEE-va. I go on and off this name all the time. Right now I love it. I really like the spelling but I'm worried that if I ever used it no one in England will be able to pronounce it.

Eh
It looks pretty, but I don't like the sound of it at all.

I like it a lot. I think everybody will be able to pronounce it when you explain to them how it is pronounced (the pronunciation itself isn't difficult, it's like Kira with a V) but I think most people will have no idea how to pronounce it when they see it written down and no idea how to spell it when they hear it. They'll probably spell it Keeva or something like that. I wouldn't use it because of that. I know that Keeva is not as pretty as Caoimhe, but it will make your daughter's life a lot easier.
I've been told many times how to pronounce this, and always forget.
It is a good name, but, I agree, the spelling is unlikely. and yet, one would like to keep the original spelling.
Difficult one!
