[Opinions] Mira or Mila?
Which one do you prefer as a full name? Mira (MEE-ra) or Mila (MEE-la)? Why? Do you know anyone named Mila or Mira?

I like both, but as nn's only...IOf these had to be the first names full, definately Mira, as Mila is a nickname, and technically Mira isn't. I prefer Mila for Amelia/Emilia, and I love Mira for either Miranda or Miriam (also love Miri for Mirian!). I actually know one of each.

I prefer Mira. It seems less likely to be mispronounced, and I just prefer how it sounds.

I like Mira - both as a full name and as a nn for Miranda.

I prefer Mila for a full name and Mira for a nn. Mila sounds very stong and mature, but sweet at the same time. Mira has a beautiful sound but doesn't carry the same sort of weight, if you know what I mean. I don't know any Milas or Miras spelt that way but I know two girls named Meera, they are both from Indian and very popular at my school, in a good way not a queen bee sort of way.

Mila is more of a nickname, so I would choose Mira for a full name.

I know tons of women named both, including my aunt Mira and my godmother Mila.
Both names are dated and old-ish to me since these names were popular here 40/50 years ago. I prefer Mira as a full name and Mila as a nn for Milana.

Oh, can I pick Mina instead?Mira, Mila and Mina always exist together in my head. Between Mira and Mila -- Mila. I'm in a Russian mood today. But I could easily pick Mira tomorrow.Sadly, I don't know any Milas, Miras, or even Minas.

I know a Mila, I actually think Mila is short for something, but I can't think of what! Brother is Nikola. I don't know which I like better, they are both beautiful!!
