Dorothy is a good quality name. I think it could come back. I don't know any Dorothy's, unless you count Dorothy Zbornak (sp?) on The Golden Girls. I dislike Dolly as a nn. I prefer Dorothea to Dorothy, yes, especially for the nn Thea.
I prefer Theodora out of all of them. Not only is it (to me) a gorgeous and strong name, but I have a strong respect for Empress Theodora (Byzantine, 6th century, link- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theodora_(6th_century) -copy + paste ). I'm not sure if they'll rise in popularity, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if they did. That's a great sibset too.
