[Opinions] Pronouncing Sorrel
Do you prefer it pronounced as SOR-el so it sounds like SORE-uhl when it comes out or sor-EL? I don't really know what the site means when it says it's pronounced SOR-əl .

SOR-el sounds a lot like swirl when I say it. sor-REL is much less swirly.
It looks like SOR-uhl to me. So that's how I'd pronounce it if I saw it.
You should look at the pronunciation key this site uses then: http://www.behindthename.com/pronunciation.php And the capitalized letters = the syllable with emphasis.
I'd only pronounce it SOR-əl, like this site says. Which I guess is what your SOR-el is. But it really is more of a schwa than an eh sound.

I think it sounds prettiest when the first syllable holds the weight :)
I've also seen it spelled Sorrell, but I think that Sorrelle would definitely be taking it a little too far...
