[Opinions] Twin girls (boredom alert!)
My niece had fraternal twin girls last May. I haven't known their names until now, because I live far from all of my family except my children, and I haven't kept in close contact with them. So I just now found out their names. They are:Aubrie GraceCharlotte Olivia
I don't care much for Aubrie. I know that Aubrey is traditionally a male name, but to me it sounds more feminine than masculine, along the lines of Leslie and Ashley, so I don't have a problem with it on a girl. The reason I don't like it is the initial sound. AAAW. It's the same reason I don't like Audrey. And Grace is a beautiful name, but overused and fillerish as a middle name.Charlotte is a traditional name, which is good, but I've just never cared for it. And Olivia I really like, but it's way way overused, but better in the middle name slot, at least.Overall, I think the choices are pretty boring. Not awful, just not exciting. That's my opinion. What do you think?

I'm with you on the AWW thing. That means names like Austin, Aubrey, Audrey or August don't do much for me. OTOH, my youngest dd has a friend named Audrey and she's adorable so I'm coming around to Audrey.Charlotte is nice. The others, nms.

I like them, but I'd prefer Aubrey.I don't love the Aubrie spelling. I agree that Aubrey is getting quite commonplace and way too popular, but it's a nice name. I think Charlotte Olivia is adorable..I love it. I like the nn Charlie.

I like Aubrey better than Aubrie, just still prefer it on a boy. I dont hate it on a girl, I just dont like it. I agree 100% with you on Grace. Its super boring as a middle name. I like Charlotte alot but it doesnt go with Aubrie imo. I really like Olivia but agree that it is overused and a bit boring. I agree with you in the thinking that the names are not bad at all, just boring.

Charlotte and Olivia are classy but very overused here and I agree with you, boring. Aubrie I'm not sure about. Aubrey is a boy's name but not exactly common these days (or ever?). I don't mind it on a girl, particularly with that spelling, but I don't love it either. It's not really my style. I also don't feel that it goes with Charlotte. I agree Grace is fillerish. Off topic, but I've noticed Americans talk about "fraternal" twins but we tend to refer to "identical" and "non-identical" twins here. Just a random observation I felt like making!

I agree, they're not ugly, but not great either. And I don't care much for the spelling Aubrie, it looks nicknamey.

I like Olivia and Charlotte but yeah, they are pretty boring. At least Olivia isn't filler so she will stand out a bit between all those girls named Charlotte Rose, Charlotte Marie, Charlotte Anne and Charlotte Grace. Grace is a filler middle name but it's lovely and I like it as well. Aubrie is okay. I think I even like it better than Aubrey. I consider Aubrey a girls name but Aubrie looks more feminine. Wow this must be the first time I like a creative spelling better. Aubrey used to be my favorite name a while back. Robin Aubrey and Aubrey Robin. Now I prefer Robin for a boy. The combo Aubrie Grace flows well.Charlotte and Aubrie don't go THAT well but they are fine together. All in all a solid yet boring choice. Much better than Kerry and Merry or Sara and Kara or even Ashley and Lindsey, though.
