Help[Opinions] Alcyone?
I was searching this site for names relating to astrology and the stars and I came up with Alcyone (for a girl). I can't decide whete i like or not. what do you all think?

At first glance, it looks like "A cyclone"
I think it's actually a pretty unique name but maybe hard to spell. Also, if I knew how to pronounce it I might like it a lot better.

I love it, which is why I chose it as my username. :) It pleases me how it's related to Greek mythology and astronomy. The myth is both sad and beautiful.
In real life, I think it would make a fabulous MN. I could imagine pronunciation and spelling issues arising, so using it as a FN might set the girl up for having to correct people often. To simplify things, she could go by Allie or Cy though.

I quite like it, but not enough to use it myself. It would make a nice middle name.
