I know several young Virginias (around my age, which is 24), and none of them ever had any problems with teasing. The "virgin" part just really doesn't stand out to me. I mean, obviously it's there, but it's just not what I think of when I hear the name. I think of the state, if anything. I'd use it, particularly because the state holds a special place in my heart.

Ditto. People in the US will think of the state. Virgin won't cross a kid's mind most likely.
