[Opinions] Kelly
Is it too dated? I've been going through a phase of really liking names of the people that are important to me, and Kelly is one of them. (I posted a few days about Candice). Anyway...I love it for it's association, but is it too dated?

I don't think it sounds dated at all. It's very easy to picture it on a child and an adult.

I like it on a boy. It's alright on a girl, but it does seem a bit dated.

I LOVE Kelly on a boy, but on a girl I definatly think it is dated. Because no one uses it though, I think it could be usable.

I personally would go with Keely instead, maybe even as a nn for Keelin, so you keep the vibe, but freshen it up :)Wdyt? But don't go with Kelsey/Kelsie/etc. It's like the 2nd Kelly & waaaaay too trendy.

Keely and Keelin are waaaaay (you had 5 a's in there right?) too trendy as well. It isn't just Kelsey that is trendy. Compared to those names, Kelly is downright awesome.

Not at all, I know people named Kelly for ages 7 to 30, so I don't view it as dated. I like it okay for a girl, but really prefer it for a boy.
It's great if you want to honor using it, its definitely good.

I think it is dated, but if it has special significance for you then don't worry about it.
