I know one girl named Maya. She's 14 and she's sooo sweet. I don't know her middle name, but it is spelled Maya and I like that spelling the best.
Maia reminds me too much of Gaia which is also a website that I hate.
When I think of Maya I think of the girl I mentioned. I think of a rainforest too, oddly enough! I think of someone who either lives in Africa or Central/South America.

MAY-ah sounds to me like a hillbilly's pronunciation. =(
