I met a little girl named Swan today. She was about 9 years old. I never cared much for it, I mean I never even thought of it as a name, but it was kind of cute on her. Her mom called her Swannie sometimes. I think it is kind of cute. I like the sound of it. Do you think it's trashy like Princess or cute like Brooke, Lark or Sky ?

She had three little sisters, Lydia, Avia (I think this is how they spell it, pr. AY-vee-ah) and Sadie.

I know a girl named Swan, she's 19 and ridiculously smart. She's Chinese and Swan is the translation of her Chinese name, so everyone calls her Swan, and her dad calls her Swanny.

Wow, I know a 19 year old genius of a girl who is Vietnamese and Swan is the English sounding translation of her name (Xuan), and we all call her Swan or Swanny. That's so weird!

Swan is one of my gps. I love Swannie as a nn. How cute! It's far too eccentric for me to actually use, but still it's pretty. It's rather out of place in a sibset of Lydia, Avia, and Sadie, though. I wonder where her mom got the idea to call her Swan from.

I think it's tacky. In fact, I think most bird names are tacky: Swan, Wren, Bluejay (I actually saw the last one in a local BA). They just sound kooky to me.
