The girls are pretty easy to tell apart because they are fraternal. Susanna is the bigger of the two and has darker hair. Rosalind looks much like her older brother with blonde hair and a smaller build. There personalities are also very different. John likens Susanna to a poet, quiet and with piercing, introspective eyes, and Rosalind to an actress, loud and entertaining.
