Given how short their surname is, Shawn and Juliet wanted a longer first name for their son and, after much debate, settled on Zachariah, which had also been the name of Shawn's grandfather. As for the baby's middle name, it was a toss-up between Galen and Gabriel for a while, but in the end the couple decided they didn't want the whole name to be too biblical and so opted for Galen.
