[Opinions] Pronounciation of Rémy?
How woould you pronounce Rémy? The database says it's pronounced like ray-MEE, but in French it's reh-MEE (The E like the E in Eric). Is the English pronounciation ray-MEE? I would say it like reh-mee (without emphasis on mee). And what do you think of Remington nn Remy/Rémy?

I love, love, love the name Remy and pronounce it as reh-mee. Remington nn Remy is nice, but I prefer just Remy.

I would pronounce it REHM-ee. But I wouldn't put the little accent over the 'e' either. Remington nn Remy is ok. I prefer just Remy. I read a book in high school once where the girls name was Rembrandt and they called her Remy and I've like Remy every since.

yeah in French it is a long eeh sound. But when you write eh in English it makes a short eh sound. So you need to write ay so people will get what you mean. so you write it as ray-MEE but it sounds more like reh-MEE with that long e sound. I personally hate it when Esmée is pronounced ez-MAY it should be ez-MEH

I don't know about the correct pronunciation (I've heard reh-MEE before), but I (and most other Americans) would say REH-mee. Like Gambit from X-Men. :)I think Remy is a fine nn for Remington.
