Leila is a lovely name, but I prefer the spelling Layla. Leilani is also gorgeous, but an entirely different name, so I don't want to compare them.

I like it. I think Leilani is ok but Leila is pretty.

Leila is a great name. So is Leilani.

Between the two, I'd say Leila for a real person, Leilani for a character in a story.

By the way, I pronounce Leila as "LAY-luh." Is that how you are pronouncing it. I only ask because I met an older woman with this name, but she said, "LEE-luh." I don't care for that pronunciation.

I like them both. I think Leilani is a little nicer, but at the same time, it sounds like a name that you may want to consider more if you are from Hawaii.
