Gianni
or
Gianna
may work. You didn't list
Gianna
, but I love the trad Italian way of making a female diminutive.

What do you mean I didn't list "
Gianna
"? That's the full name:
Gianna
Albertine
. I am asking for help with the spelling for the nickname, either
Gianni
or
Johnnie
, since she will be named after my father,
John
Albert
.
*confused*

My guess would be that she meant Gianina, which btw is really cute.
