[Opinions] Ione
Ione ...short, sweet name for a girl??? ?Ioneprn eye OH nee Multiple meanings: violet color / violet flower/ island of Ionia
I really love the sound and feel of this name. I think it's neat how three syllables are packed into 4 letters. I also love that it is very rare. The only thing I don't like it the way it looks written, but that is minor I guess. What do you think of it?

It's a hippie name where I come from, but I mean that as a compliment. I think it's very sweet, and different from what people are used to hearing (Ava, Madison, Olivia, Emma-blech!).

I like itI know a girl named Ione. She pronounces it ie-OHN. I like ie-OH-nee better. I wish I would have asked her what her middle name was...I do prefer Iona though.

Hmmm...I am a big fan of short, simple girl's names. But I must admit, this one make me think of a pirate saying "I own ye!" The meaning is very pretty, however, and if you adore it--sound AND feel--then I'd say go for it! Because that's pretty much what matters in the end. What about the written Ione don't you like? I'm not sure I would know how to pronounce it without your tip.

I don't like the way it 'looks' scripted. Just doesn't look 'namely' or pretty. I'm thinking it would best be used in the middle name position. Tahlia Ione is on my mind right now.
