[Opinions] Matilda
I'm really starting to like Matilda. I really have a soft spot for it since I got a Cabbage Patch Doll for my 1st Christmas (that I still have), named Glenna Matilda "Tilly". However, I am completely stumped when it comes to middle names, any suggestions? Also, what is your favorite NN for Matilda? I like both Tilly and Tilda, but I despise Mattie.TIA :)

I adore Matilda and would love to use it for a future daughter. But it's too close to my son's name Matteo. The only middle name I can suggest would be Matilda Ruby because there are no other middle names that I find even comparable to Ruby =) As for nicknames... Tilly would get my vote.

Matilda Ruby does have a nice ring to it, but I have a bad association with Ruby. It reminds me of this red-headed girl with crooked teeth and pale skin that I knew in 1st grade. Horrible thing to say about her, but that's all I can picture when I hear the name Ruby! :(

Yeah, Mattie isn't horrible but it's way too close to the trendy Maddie that I could never use it. Plus, it only works until the kid is 6 years old. Though I guess you could say the same for Tilly.I like:
Matilda Corinne
Matilda Josette
Matilda Catherine
Matilda Elinor - Except I hope to use Eleanor as a FN someday
Matilda Lorraine
Matilda Eve
Matilda June
Matilda Cecily
Matilda Diane

I love Matilda. I love Matilda Rose but Rose is a very common middle name. How about Matilda Pearl ? Matilda Plum, Matilda Rosaline, Matilda Rosemary, Matilda Fay, Matilda Lorraine, Matilda Charlotte, Matilda Joan, Matilda Rosie, Matilda Daisy, Matilda Hope. I like Mattie but I'm not really fond of Tilly or Tilda.
