thanks! WDYTO Mei Ah or Mei Ya ? It sounds a bit like Maya I guess. Mei Li ? Does it sound too much like Miley ? Which Mei combos are popular in China ?

The thing with names in China is that there is no such thing as a popular combo. Every parent choses a name for their child, without it really being a name. It's like every time a child gets named a new name gets invented, so every Chinese character can serve as a name. I hope that makes sense...
Anyway, back to Mei, I think Ya would work, Li as well, Ah not so much. Some possible combos:
Mei Lan (LAHN)
Mei Xu (SHOO)
Mei Fen
Mei Jiang (JYAHNG)
Mei Wen
Mei Xue (SHWEH)
