They're both pretty names. I want to pick Caroline because it's not as common as Josephine. But I want to pick Josephine because it doesn't sound as similar to Marilyn. I think Caroline wins slightly though.

It's funny you say that because Caroline was #99 in 2007 while Josephine was #224! So Caroline is more popular, in the U.S. anyways (although I'm in Canada, but it's close enough).

But either way that doesn't bother me since I have never met anyone with either name.

I didn't actually look at the statistics, I was just going by what I've heard. I've heard of several baby girls named Josephine, but not one Caroline. :)
