Siwan Collingwood is a pureblood Slytherin -- a fact she wasn't too happy to learn at Sorting, because her flaming red hair coupled with the green and silver decor of the common room were certain to garner some Christmas jokes. She is bisexual and open-minded as to her prospective partner's bloodline; two things that, while not looked down upon in the normal wizarding world, have to be hidden from her family and most of her housemates.

It was in Potions (her worst class) that Siwan met Jonathan, a tall, handsome Hufflepuff and her own personal savior -- he put the correct ingredients in her cauldron when the professor had his back turned, essentially saving her from failing. They agreed to hang out on the next Hogsmeade trip (too shy to call it a date just yet!) and with one look into his chocolate brown eyes over a mug of butterbeer, the rest is sappy history.
