[Opinions] Caspian
I hate Narnia but I was wondering what everyone thought of this name? Is it too Narniaish

It's a bit too geographic for me, especially knowing that the sea was named after an ethnic group.
This is one of those names that so many people love, but the name actually annoys me. Needless to say, I scratch my head trying to understand the appeal.
I've been critical of this name before so I'm sorry if my criticisms are repetitive. But in case you have never read them, I feel the name is not masculine enough for a boy and not feminine enough for a girl. I wouldn't consider the name unisex because to me unisex works on either gender, and I don't feel Caspian works on either gender.

I don't think it can be separated from Narnia. I see why people like the sound - I do too - but I just think it's incredibly poncy as a name. I've never known a RL Caspian, and actually, I've don't think ever met a guy who could pull it off.

Beautiful name. Once the movie dies down a bit, it'll be fine.
I LOVE Caspian I think of the sea & Narnia
I love the name Caspian, I have for years but now im too afraid to use it as I fear it will become popular. I think it will always have some association with Narnia
It is quite connected to Narnia in my mind, but I also like to look at it as after the Caspian sea. I think its a very handsome name, and I kind of hope it gets more popular.
No one would be able to hear it without thinking of Narnia. Well, actually, I guess a couple of people might think of the Caspian Sea...
You could probably get away with using it as a middle name, though.
