Lara’s younger sister died in a car crash. Do you adopt her five-year old son?
Robbie and Lara decided to adopt a seven-year old girl from Nigeria. The child must have names from that country.

Théo and Kai got married!
Lara's younger sister was the belle of her family, always out-shinning Lara in everything she did and getting the most boyfriends, so it came as no suprise when she rang home to tell their parents that she was pregnant at 19. She coped well as a single mum, gave up her drinking as soon as she found out she was expecting and gave her son the best possible start in life. She'd even settled down with a long-term boyfriend and picked up her life from her rocky teenage years but it was through no fault of her own that she was killed in a tragic road accident just after her son turned five. Her boyfriend ran off immediately- he wanted nothing to do with her family anymore- so Lara was left to take in her son, Ronan. At the time of the accident, Lara was on a holiday in Nigeria with Robbie and they were just finishing the process of adopting a little orphan girl who they'd grown to love. Toby was ecstatic about getting an older sister to play with and even more so when he heard his cousin was his brother now. Elsewhere in the Hughes family, Kai was in Australia again in a tennis tournament when he met the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. She had a dark tan, blue eyes and lovely curly black hair that bounced at her shoulders. Her brother was playing in the same tournament as him and so the two got talking which ended in marriage a year later in Spain- her father was an English businessman and her mother was Spanish. Théo was in France studying history when he met his wife-to-be, Natasha, who was also of half English parentage. The two clicked at once and just a few months after their marirage, their little daughter came along which they made sure was born in France to honor her roots.
