Sarah gave birth to a baby girl!
Sophie find out that she’s having octuplets. What do you do? Do you under go selective reduction? If you don’t, do all children survive?
Lydia gave birth to twin boys!
After the numerous other multiple births in the family and being a triplet herself with twin sons, Sophia had a feeling her next pregnancy would result in twins at the very least. Following several scans, it was proven that she was carrying three babies, possibly more. Sophia was a bit iffy at first- could she and Hugo cope with six children under five? A further scan revealed what doctors had been fearing- Sophia was having octuplets. Hugo was all for going under selective reduction if it meant he would have healthy babies but Sophia thought different. She would consider herself a murderer if she had to kill off those tiny beings inside her. After much persuasion from doctors and nurses alike and Hugo's full support, Sophia decided to do it. After a troubled week in hospital, Sophia gave birth to four tiny baby boys and two tiny baby girls. All six were rushed to intensive care immediately but the smallest and lightest baby, Eve, died just a few hours later. A year on, the Quins are flourishing and Sophia hasn't had five minutes peace since they were born. At the quins first Christmas, William and Belle decided to have a massive get-together for the whole family (minus Kai who was at a tennis tournament in Australia). During the christmas lunch (which was several dining tables put next to each other in the back garden under a marquee to accommodate everyone), Lydia and Sarah both stood up to make an announcement together. Unbeknown to their husbands and the rest of the family, they were both expecting again. After all the concerns during and following Sophia's pregnancy, it was hardly suprising that both women were worried sick about the fate of their unborn children and stuck to each other like glue for the whole of their confinement. Their worries were banished when they both delivered healthy children within a fortnight of each other, to the delight of the entire family.
